ABOUT
Choosing a designer or architect is one of the most important stages in any project.
Who you select will determine what and how you can build, as well as the final cost of your home.
I provide cost-effective design solutions that are enhanced by strong communication and a clear alignment of our values.
After studying in Christchurch and graduating in 2011, I worked with Stephen Fitzgerald Architecture in Sumner, Christchurch until 2019.
There I worked on a range of projects of varying complexities, meeting the building demand through the earthquake rebuild in Christchurch and the building boom in other regions, such as Central Otago and Central Lakes.
As a Licensed Building Practitioner (Design 2), a Professional Member of ADNZ (Architectural Designers New Zealand) and a Homestar Practitioner (New Zealand Green Building Council), I have both the passion, experience and knowledge to help guide you towards a build that best represents your vision.
Collaboration
The key to our success is for us to have an effective professional relationship. Finding this fit is the single most important part of the design process and my greatest strength. I take the time at the beginning of our journey to make sure our fit is right. This will include you completing a pre-build design brief which captures all the elements of a home that are important to you, so I can make sure I understand exactly what you want and why.
Custom Design Documentation
I provide a detailed, custom design documentation service, enabling a seamless consent process and a smooth, more efficient build. This reduces the usual cost and stress through the later stages of design and the construction process. It means that you, consenting officers and builders can be on the same page from day one.
Energy Efficiency
Using good design principles can save energy, water and money, while creating a more enjoyable and comfortable home. I’m committed to efficient use of space and hold high energy efficiency (exceeding standard code) as a key requirement for my homes.
